Unequal Triangles
The formula for calculating the area of a Triangle is ½ Base x Perp. Height 


When we don't know the height we must use this formula:

Area = √ s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

Pythagoras Theorem 

Pythagoras’ Theorem: The Square on the Hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares on the other two sides.


Only works with a right-angled triangle that is a triangle with an angle of 90°.

However I came across this book (see opposite) that is available to view or download for free under the creative commons licence Click here to access the book. This might come in useful in future classes during your programme. 

Work Sheets For Week 2

Practice completing these worksheets and then check your work against the answer sheet provided. Remember that you are trying to learn the method for solving each question so marks are awarded for attempt and correct method. 

If you are getting lots of the questions wrong then please speak up during class or email me a sample of your work during the week.  

Remember to save file as your name and clearly label the worksheet and question number.
